25 Days Adrift in an Ice Box
Two fishermen from Myanmar, spent 25 days adrift in an ice box after their fishing boat sank in Australia’s northern waters. They’ve said that they survived drinking rain water and eating fish chunks stored in the boat’s cooler. They were lucky that there was a lot of rain coming at that time as otherwise they wouldn’t have made it.
They are currently kept in alternative detention under guard while the authorities undertake the interview process.
The authorities would like to get the facts such as how did they ended up there at the first place, before releasing them.
