As the world struggles with a global recession, many people are remember that money can’t buy happiness but according to this research men don’t agree with this.
Susanna Baggaley, Director of New Zealand The Nielsen Company said “Because they are happier with non-economic factors, women’s happiness is more recession-proof, which might explain why women around the world are happier in general than men are.”
Nielsen Happiness Study covered 51 countries and polled 28,153 respondents online in mid 2008. Study found that women are happier than men in 48 of the 51 countries surveyed. Only in Brazil and Vietnam men werefound to be happier than women. Japanese women declared the greatest difference and results shown that they are 15 percent happier than Japanese men.
